3 Israeli Soldiers Killed in Northern Gaza Battle as Tank Explosion Investigated

Watan-The Israeli army announced on Monday evening that three of its soldiers were killed and a fourth was injured during combat in northern Gaza.

According to an official military statement, the fallen soldiers all served in the Armored Corps, specifically in the 52nd Battalion of the 401st “Iron Trails” Division. The statement did not provide further details on the exact circumstances of the incident.

However, Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the soldiers were killed when their tank was blown up in the town of Jabalia, northern Gaza. The report cited military sources suggesting the tank was likely hit by an anti-tank missile, although other possible causes of the explosion are still under investigation.

 Rising Military Toll in Gaza:

• With these new casualties, the official Israeli military death toll since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023, has reached 893 soldiers and officers.

• Of those, 449 were killed during the ground invasion that began on October 27, 2023.

• The number of wounded Israeli soldiers has climbed to 6,099, including 2,800 since the ground assault began, according to figures published on the Israeli army’s website.

• The 401st Armored Brigade is considered one of Israel’s most elite ground units, often deployed in high-intensity combat zones.

• Northern Gaza, especially Jabalia, has been a hotspot of fierce resistance by Palestinian fighters employing guerrilla tactics, including anti-tank missiles, booby traps, and tunnel ambushes.
