Watan-Abu Ubaida, the military spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades — the armed wing of Hamas — declared that the Palestinian resistance remains in a high state of readiness to continue its war of attrition against Israeli forces. In his first video address since March 6, he warned that continued aggression by Israel will result in increased military losses.
He outlined the resistance’s current strategy: inflicting heavy casualties on Israeli troops, launching specialized operations, and pursuing the capture of Israeli soldiers. Abu Ubaida revealed that Al-Qassam fighters have attempted multiple capture operations in recent weeks using new tactics developed from lessons learned during the ongoing war — the longest in Palestinian history.
He emphasized that Gaza’s resistance movement serves as a premier school of modern military struggle against occupation, stating:”If the Israeli government chooses to continue this war of extermination, it is choosing to welcome the funerals of its soldiers and officers.”
Abu Ubaida also criticized the international and regional silence, accusing Arab and Islamic governments of standing idly by, while Israel enjoys the backing of global powers.

Regarding the issue of captives, he revealed that Hamas offered Israel a comprehensive prisoner exchange deal in which all Israeli captives would be returned at once — but the Netanyahu government rejected it, allegedly preparing its public to accept the death of all the captives.
He warned that Israeli intransigence in the current negotiation round could eliminate the option of partial deals.
Abu Ubaida also accused Israel of committing genocide and ethnic cleansing, claiming the establishment of “Nazi-style concentration camps” disguised as humanitarian zones, and condemned the continued exploitation of the “antisemitism” narrative.
He concluded by urging collaborators to repent and praised Palestinian families and clans that publicly disowned informants, affirming that the steadfastness and patience of the Palestinian people is what most enrages their enemies.
