Watan-At least 43 Palestinians were killed, including 26 who were waiting for aid, and others were injured since dawn Monday in a series of Israeli airstrikes and shootings targeting various areas of the Gaza Strip.
According to Palestinian medical sources, three Palestinians waiting for food assistance were killed, and 20 others were injured by Israeli gunfire while they were queuing for humanitarian aid in the Al-‘Alam area near the Israeli-American aid center west of Rafah, in the southern part of the Strip.
Operating outside the supervision of the United Nations and international aid organizations, Tel Aviv began on May 27 to implement a unilateral humanitarian aid distribution plan via the so-called “Gaza Relief Foundation.” This body is backed by Israel and the United States but has been rejected by the UN.
Eyewitnesses reported ongoing Israeli artillery shelling across various eastern parts of Khan Younis in the south, coinciding with demolitions carried out by Israeli forces in the city.
In Gaza City, two fishermen were killed and three others remain missing after being subjected to heavy fire from Israeli naval boats off the coast, according to Palestinian medical sources.
The sources also reported the death of another Palestinian and the injury of three others following gunfire and shelling by Israeli warships targeting displaced people in the Gaza City port area.
