Watan-On Tuesday, the Pew Research Center published a comprehensive global survey revealing a rise in negative sentiments toward Israel and its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, across much of the world.
The survey, conducted in 24 countries and involving more than 28,000 participants, included evaluations of the Israeli Prime Minister. According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the results showed that Netanyahu failed to gain more than one-third approval in any participating country—except for Kenya and Nigeria.
The findings also indicated that overall views toward Israel were largely unfavorable. In 20 of the surveyed countries, a majority of respondents expressed negative opinions about the state.
In the United States, 53% of participants reported a negative view of Israel, an increase of 11 percentage points compared to 2022. In the United Kingdom, disapproval rose from 44% in 2013 to 61% today.
