Euro-Med Monitor: Israel Using Aid Distribution as Tool in Gaza Genocide

Dozens Killed and Injured in Israeli Strike on Aid Point in Rafah; Drones and Tanks Target Starving Civilians, Rights Group Says.

Watan-The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said Sunday that Israel’s insistence on maintaining the current method of humanitarian aid distribution in the Gaza Strip confirms its use as an “additional tool in the genocide system” targeting Palestinian civilians.

This came in a statement following the Gaza Health Ministry’s announcement that dozens were killed or injured after Israeli forces struck an aid distribution point in western Rafah, which is operated under Israeli supervision and in cooperation with a U.S. company.

The Monitor said its field team documented the Israeli military firing on thousands of starving Palestinians at the Rafah aid site during the early hours of Sunday.

According to the statement, Israel directed civilians toward what was supposedly a safe route, only to target them with quadcopter drone fire and tank shells, committing what it called “the largest massacre yet against the starving.”

The statement also accused armed personnel from the American aid company of firing tear gas grenades at the crowds simultaneously with the Israeli assault.
