Watan-The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem reported that dozens of extremist Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque early Sunday morning through the Moroccan Gate, under tight protection from Israeli occupation forces.
In a statement, the Waqf said the settlers carried out provocative tours in the mosque courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern part of the compound.
The Israeli police, meanwhile, imposed severe restrictions on Palestinian worshippers, withholding IDs at the mosque’s external gates to limit access.
The Waqf highlighted that Palestinian calls are intensifying for mass mobilization and presence in Al-Aqsa to confront Israeli occupation plans and settler group agendas, which aim to demolish the mosque and build the so-called Third Temple.
It further warned that Al-Aqsa is witnessing an alarming escalation in Israeli settler and police violations, particularly through increased storming incidents, larger settler groups, and the performance of Talmudic prayers within the mosque compound.
