Gaza Health Ministry: 98 Palestinians Killed in Israeli Airstrikes Within 24 Hours
Gaza Health Ministry Reports 98 Killed in 24 Hours as Child Death Toll Reaches Catastrophic Levels in Ongoing Genocide
Watan-The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Thursday that 98 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas of the Strip over the past 24 hours, as part of what it described as a continuing genocide by Tel Aviv.
Munir Al-Bursh, Director General of Gaza’s Health Ministry, stated: “In the past 24 hours, about 98 Palestinians were martyred due to scattered bombings across different areas of the Gaza Strip.”
He added, “Among the victims are children, women, and many others who were injured.”
Rescue teams from civil defense units are still attempting to recover bodies from under the rubble of homes destroyed by the strikes.
In a shocking statistic illustrating the deliberate targeting of the most vulnerable segments of society, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported Thursday that 16,503 Palestinian children have been killed in the genocide carried out by Israeli forces since October 7, 2023.
This data was published in a statement on the ministry’s Telegram channel, aiming to document Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people.
According to the statement, the total number of child martyrs since October 7 has reached 16,503, reflecting a horrifying scale of direct and systematic targeting of society’s most innocent members.
The ministry provided a breakdown of age groups:
-
Infants (under 1 year): 916
-
Children aged 1–5 years: 4,365
-
Children aged 6–12 years: 6,101
-
Adolescents aged 13–17 years: 5,124
It added that children have become “targets for Israeli aircraft missiles and tank shells.”
The ministry urged the international community, human rights organizations, and humanitarian agencies to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities by acting urgently to stop the aggression and hold Israeli leaders accountable for crimes against children and unarmed civilians.
Since October 7, 2023, with full U.S. support, Israel has waged a genocidal war on Gaza, killing and injuring over 175,000 Palestinians, most of them children and women, with over 11,000 missing and hundreds of thousands forcibly displaced.
