22 Migrants Missing After Departing Algeria for Spain
Alarm Phone warns of potential tragedy as authorities fail to locate migrants lost at sea for over a week.
Watan-Twenty-two migrants who set off from the Algerian coast toward Spain about a week ago are now missing, according to an announcement made Monday by the “Alarm Phone” platform, which specializes in reporting migrants stranded at sea.
The platform, which is ffiliated with the NGO Watch the Med, posted on its X (formerly Twitter) account that no information has been received about the fate of the migrants, despite notifying the relevant authorities.
The platform added:“The families of the migrants are worried, and we fear another tragedy due to current border policies.”
