Watan-Media sources reported that a large Israeli military force fell into a well-prepared ambush east of Khan Yunis city in the southern Gaza Strip, where a booby-trapped building was detonated, resulting in the killing and injuring of at least 15 soldiers.
Al Arabiya TV quoted sources confirming the killing and injuring of more than 15 Israeli soldiers due to the explosion of a building in the Gaza Strip.
Details of the event, described as very severe, are still under Israeli military censorship, with no official Israeli statement about the explosion.
Field reporters mentioned that Israeli evacuation helicopters landed near the town of Al-Qarara in Khan Yunis, apparently to evacuate the wounded and dead from the building explosion.
In this context, Hebrew media reported from Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva that more than 10 helicopter ambulances landed carrying injured from Gaza in the past few hours.
No official announcement has been issued – as of the moment of writing this news – from the Israeli occupation army regarding the circumstances of the explosion and the number and nature of injuries among its soldiers.
On Thursday, Al-Qassam Brigades announced in separate statements a series of operations carried out by its fighters in the Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City.
Al-Qassam announced the detonation of two booby-trapped tunnels among the forces of the occupation army, resulting in killing and injuring soldiers south of Zaytoun. They also confirmed the detonation of a previously booby-trapped building among a Zionist infantry force, causing casualties south of the neighborhood.
Meanwhile, they announced the detonation of an anti-personnel mine among an infantry force consisting of 5 soldiers, resulting in casualties. Al-Qassam fighters targeted 3 armored personnel carriers and a “Merkava” tank with “Yasin 105” shells and “Shuwazi” explosives south of the Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.
Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed that they continue, for the 146th consecutive day, to confront the invading forces on several fronts.
