Watan-Sources revealed to Al Jazeera that the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” has proposed a three-stage ceasefire plan in the Gaza Strip, each lasting for 42 days.<\/p>\n

The sources stated that Hamas has stipulated the withdrawal of occupation forces from Rashid and Salah al-Din streets to allow for the return of displaced persons and the passage of aid.<\/p>\n

Hamas proposed releasing 50 Palestinian prisoners, including 30 with life sentences, in exchange for each captured soldier.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Hamas insisted on declaring a permanent ceasefire before any exchange of its prisoners during the second stage.<\/p>\n

Sources also disclosed that Hamas demanded Israel’s withdrawal from Rashid and Salah al-Din streets in the first stage to facilitate the return of displaced persons and the passage of aid.<\/p>\n

Hamas’ proposal also includes initiating a comprehensive reconstruction process in Gaza and ending the blockade during the third stage.<\/p>\n

On Thursday evening, Hamas announced that it had presented mediators in Qatar and Egypt with a framework for a ceasefire agreement and prisoner exchange with Israel, reaffirming its commitment to the rights and concerns of the Palestinian people.<\/p>\n
