Watan-An Israeli writer launched a fierce attack on the Netanyahu government, accusing it of lying about the “Flour Mill Massacre” in Nablus Square, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of Palestinian civilians. He clarified that Israel attempted to deny its undeniable responsibility as the occupying force in the area.<\/p>\n

Gideon Levy, in an article in Haaretz translated by Al Jazeera, debunked the Israeli army’s narrative of the massacre, noting that among the 176 wounded transported to hospitals, 142 were injured by gunfire.<\/p>\n

Levy mocked the occupation’s claims that trucks were the ones firing at the aid seekers and that Hamas security guards were the ones unleashing this crazy barrage of ammunition on the crowd.<\/p>\n

He added that such statements carry no credibility, likening it to the credibility of Palestinians being accused of shooting American Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in Jenin in 2022.<\/p>\n

Video footage posted on Instagram showed hundreds of people gathering around fires trying to ward off the winter cold as they waited for trucks. A convoy of trucks coming from Egypt through the Israeli checkpoint northward on Rashid Street.<\/p>\n

While the Israeli army says there were 30 trucks, an eyewitness told BBC News that there were 18 trucks surrounded by crowds as they approached Nablus<\/a> Square.<\/p>\n

Video clips released by the Israeli army showed four trucks surrounded by people, as well as individuals lying on the road and army vehicles parked on the side.<\/p>\n

Levy cited footage aired by Al Jazeera showing part of the convoy’s rear where gunfire could be heard, and people seen crawling towards or taking cover behind the trucks.<\/p>\n

Eyewitnesses also stated that the gunfire came from the direction of Israeli vehicles, and furthermore, Israelis prevented access to the wounded.<\/p>\n

As if in a coma, Levy pointed out that if it were proven that Israeli soldiers were the ones firing on this gathering, killing and injuring hundreds of starving residents, no one in Israel would be bothered by it, as it is, according to Levy, “war, as they claim” – reminiscent of what happened on October 7.<\/p>\n

Levy added, “The minimum level of empathy for Palestinians completely ceased in Israel on October 7th as if we were in a coma. We only feel empathy for ourselves, our soldiers, and our hostages, and anyone else can explode.”<\/p>\n

He expressed his belief that Israel is on the verge of being ostracized, as it has never been condemned, nor has such hatred been stirred up as it is today, and every Israeli will soon feel it.<\/p>\n

The writer concluded by asking: What needs to happen for Israelis to awaken from their self-satisfaction and activate their moral sensors regarding what has been happening since October 7th? He concluded that if Israel’s encounter with death and hunger, where body bags replaced food bags on trucks, where blood mixed with flour, did not inspire Israel to face the ongoing war, then nothing will stop it, even if not for considering its fate, at least for the terrible price Gaza residents pay, or at least for the price Israel itself will pay.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
