Watan-After failing to secure a dental appointment, a 63-year-old British woman took matters into her own hands and extracted 12 of her teeth herself using pliers.<\/p>\n

Caroline Borsee developed dental problems during treatment at a hospital for reasons unknown. Her dentist, who initially worked for the British National Health Service, decided to leave his position and work in private practice.<\/p>\n

Caroline Borsee told ITV<\/a> News that she resorted to extracting her own teeth due to unbearable pain and the inability to wait for an appointment with a dentist at the National Health Service in Scunthorpe, where she resides.<\/p>\n

She said, “I was told I couldn’t be accepted, or there was a three-year waiting list.”<\/p>\n

The inability to smile in front of others left her feeling devastated. She added, “As soon as I open my mouth, things go wrong because I can’t smile. No one wants you in employment if you don’t have teeth.”<\/p>\n

Unknown Cause Problem<\/h3>\n

Borsee developed a dental problem while in the hospital and couldn’t determine the cause.<\/p>\n

Her former dentist at the National Health Service left his official job and joined a private clinic, and she started contacting a list of dentists in the area’s health services without success.<\/p>\n

Caroline said she is now unemployed and living on comprehensive credit payments, and her distressing appearance hinders her attempts to get a job.<\/p>\n

According to the source, she had three interviews and her interview results were great, but as soon as she opened her mouth, things went wrong and she was rejected.<\/p>\n

She continued, “No one wants you in retail if you don’t have teeth, and you can’t smile.” This is a job she’s been accustomed to for 50 years.<\/p>\n

Health Minister’s Comment<\/h3>\n

When asked by British media about Caroline Borsee’s situation, Health Minister Victoria Atkins estimated that such situations “shouldn’t happen” and that people “who are suffering greatly should always remember that in times of need, they can always go to the emergency room for help.”<\/p>\n

The minister also announced a reward of $20,000 for dentists who will work in areas with few doctors. In addition, dental trucks will be operated to travel on rural British roads to treat patients.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
