Horowitz stated in his article: “The new conservatives and Islam-haters, not Muslims, are the real threat to British democracy.” He pointed out that the proposal of the Scottish National Party calling for an immediate ceasefire was embarrassing for the Labour leadership, which had spent the last five months avoiding saying so amid the deadly bombardment of Gaza.<\/p>\n
The obstruction of the vote on the Scottish National Party’s proposal<\/h3>\n
He continued: “The proposal was clear and fully in line with public opinion in the British Isles, calling for an immediate ceasefire without conditions, while the Labour Party’s proposal gave the Israeli government the right of veto by insisting that Hamas release its hostages as a basic condition for starting a ceasefire.”<\/p>\n
The Labour Party’s call for an “immediate humanitarian ceasefire” was not such because it allowed Israel to continue fighting.<\/p>\n
The writer said: “In other words, the carefully planned and secretive efforts to obstruct the vote on the Scottish National Party’s proposal challenged the clear will expressed by the British people.”<\/p>\n
Horowitz explained: “Speaker of the House of Commons, Lindsay Hoyle, justified his departure from established rules by allowing the vote on three separate proposals, thus frustrating the Scottish National Party’s proposal, by saying he was ‘extremely concerned about the safety of all members’.”<\/p>\n
Then there was a brief attempt to turn MPs who supported this despicable war into victims and targets of “Islamic” hate speech. It takes some audacity to turn Members of Parliament, who have consistently justified a war that has killed 30,000 Palestinians, into victims of hate speech rather than exposing them as genocide deniers.<\/p>\n
Horowitz sees it as a disturbing fact, for both Conservative and Labour defenders of Israel, that a clear and rapidly growing majority of the British people, estimated at 66%, are fed up with this war and want an immediate ceasefire. While 13% believe Israel should continue the war, and only 24% believe the attack on Gaza is justified, down by 5 points.<\/p>\n
The British writer also pointed out what was repeated by Labour Party leader Keir Starmer, that Israel has the right to defend itself, and he also defended collective punishment and clearly stated that Israel has the right to prevent water and fuel from reaching Gaza.<\/p>\n
Horowitz warns against hate speech against Muslims<\/h3>\n
He explained that because of this comment alone, Starmer, the former Director of Public Prosecutions, could be charged with incitement to genocide, even though he later withdrew that statement.<\/p>\n
Horowitz pointed out that the phrase “from the river to the sea” has been used by all politicians of the Israeli Likud party since 1977, where the party’s statement that year stated that “between the sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty.”<\/p>\n
Therefore, the debate is: this phrase is not considered genocide when used by Israeli leaders, but it is when used by Palestinians, whether they are Christians or Muslims.<\/p>\n
British writer David Horowitz confirmed in his article in the Middle East Eye that the combination of hate speech against Muslims in the Conservative Party, and the reliance on advisers who see electoral benefits in manipulating what is known as the theory of the great usurpation, with the issue of Palestine, will result in a “toxic dose” capable of igniting social tension and undermining freedom of expression in Britain.<\/p>\n

The former head of the Conservative Party told Channel 4 News: “If such comments were made and were anti-Semitic or homophobic, they could have been withdrawn immediately. And as Sadiq Khan said, we cannot have a hierarchical sequence of racism within politics.”<\/p>\n
David Horowitz criticized the Labour Party and the British government: “The Labour Party does not provide any opposition to a government that contradicts and ridicules the clearly stated will of the International Court of Justice, which ordered Israel to comply with the Genocide Convention by continuing to supply Israel with weapons.”<\/p>\n
Horowitz concluded his article with embarrassing questions for British politicians and officials, saying, So the question is: who are the real democrats: the MPs inside Parliament or the protesters outside?<\/p>\n
