Watan-Military expert, Jordanian Brigadier General Fayez al-Dweiri, commented on the announcement by the Israeli occupation army and its boasting of what it called the liberation of the two Israeli prisoners, Fernando Marman and Louis Har, from Rafah in a special operation.<\/p>\n
Al-Dweiri, in a comment via his account on platform X, considered the Israeli occupation’s statement about the release of the hostages to be exaggerated.<\/p>\n
He said that they (the occupation) turned a simple and expected incident into an extraordinary heroic act, rallying all efforts and deploying elite forces to execute it, even though it was a routine incident that could have happened to others.<\/p>\n
However, the exploitation of the incident is more important than the incident itself because it supports the viewpoint of Netanyahu and his defense minister that continued military pressure is the optimal way to make Hamas submit to Israel’s conditions, especially after Netanyahu obtained Biden’s preliminary approval to carry out a military operation in Rafah.<\/p>\n
Earlier, the Israeli army announced that it had succeeded in liberating two prisoners in a secret and complex operation in the Shabura area in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, and published documentation of the alleged operation.<\/p>\n
