Watan-An European institution has issued a report on the objectives driving the Emirati regime under the leadership of Mohammed bin Zayed to support the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan and fuel the war there.<\/p>\n

The European “Fink” Foundation stated that looting gold mines is the key to understanding the UAE’s support for the Rapid Support Forces and the promotion of internal conflict in Sudan.<\/p>\n

The Sudanese army has been suspicious of the UAE’s role in the ongoing conflict in the country for several months, accusing Emirati leaders of providing military support to the Rapid Support Forces through various smuggling routes for weapons and equipment, passing through Uganda, Central Africa, and other African countries.<\/p>\n

The foundation pointed out that the UAE’s alliance with the Rapid Support Forces aims to exploit the gold mines under the control of these militias in Sudan through the Emirati company Kaloti, which handles the trade of smuggled gold, according to reports from the United Nations.<\/p>\n

Khalifa Haftar is present in the complex situation<\/h3>\n

The Rapid Support Forces received significant military support from the forces of General Khalifa Haftar in Libya, also funded by the UAE. This support came as a reciprocation after the Rapid Support Forces sent hundreds of Sudanese fighters to Libya in 2019 to support Haftar in his battle to control the Libyan capital, Tripoli.<\/p>\n

As a result, the war continues, supported by the aspirations and ambitions of regional powers involved in supporting conflicting local parties, with the UAE at the forefront.<\/p>\n

While the severe humanitarian consequences of this war are evident, another problem arises \u2013 the derailment of the democratic transition process that was supposed to lead to the return of the army to its barracks and the transfer of power to elected authorities.<\/p>\n

With the absence of this political path, the Sudanese people remain caught in the conflict between the army controlling constitutional institutions and militias contributing to the disintegration of the state.<\/p>\n

Sudan’s representative exposes the role of the UAE<\/h3>\n

Sudan’s representative to the United Nations, Al-Harith Idris, recently revealed that the Rapid Support Forces are bringing mercenaries<\/a> and weapons through the UAE, stating that Sudan is defending itself against a multifaceted attack sponsored financially by the UAE<\/a>, with weapon supplies coming through Am Jars airport.<\/p>\n

Idris’ statements were based on a summary of a report by experts from the United Nations Security Council presented last week, which concluded that the UAE unloads several shipments of weapons and ammunition every week from cargo planes at an airport in Chad, delivering them to the Rapid Support Forces on the Sudanese border.<\/p>\n

Diabolical Emirati collusion<\/h3>\n

International investigations have confirmed that the UAE used humanitarian aid as a cover to support armed\u0643\u062b\u0642\u0624 groups in the region. In parallel, the UAE authorities targeted Sudanese nationals on its territory, pursuing those who sympathize with their country’s army and forcing them to choose between supporting the Rapid Support Forces or leaving the country.<\/p>\n

Among them was Hamza Mohamed Othman, who returned to his country after the Emirati intelligence gave him the choice between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese army, ultimately forcing him to leave the country.<\/p>\n

His mother stated, “Emirati intelligence contacted Hamza Mohamed Tahir and gave him the choice between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese army.
