Watan-The well-known and Abu Dhabi-funded newspaper “Al-Arab London” published a report, not officially disclosed, that revealed clear Emirati dissatisfaction with Qatar’s growing role on the international stage. The report attempted to discredit Doha’s efforts in the file of ending the war in the Gaza Strip, weaving allegations fabricated by the report’s author.<\/p>\n

The report’s headline was: “Qatar’s Prime Minister in Washington to Defend His Country, Not to Arrange a Detainee Deal.” It sought to portray Doha as seeking to “solidify its interests with Washington” and not concerned with the Palestinian issue or Gaza.<\/p>\n

This comes at a time when there are discussions about Qatar’s successful role in various mediations on both the Arab and international levels, and the potential completion of a deal to end the war in Gaza, even if temporarily, likely longer-term than the previous ceasefires, at the very least.<\/p>\n

Emirates Continues to Defame and Incite Against Qatar<\/a> The report included text that did not shy away from defaming and inciting against Doha, the Qatari Prime Minister, and the Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.<\/p>\n

The “Al-Arab London” report, in discussing the Qatari minister’s visit to Washington, stated: “It seemed as if he was on a mission to defend his country against accusations of supporting Hamas and indirectly contributing to the October 7th attack, not to arrange a detainee deal as announced.”<\/p>\n

The report attempted to mix statements and developments in Gaza, interpreting them in line with the newspaper’s anti-Doha and specifically anti-Hamas policy.<\/p>\n

The report added that the Prime Minister’s visit came “at an inconvenient time for Qatar due to its coinciding with a campaign by the Israeli Prime Minister accusing it of supporting Hamas and not exerting enough pressure on it to release the Israeli detainees held by the movement.”<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that this under-the-table incitement by the UAE against Qatar continues despite Gulf reconciliation and the end of the blockade crisis, following the Al-Ula agreement a few years ago.<\/p>\n

The UAE’s Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Zayed, continues his malicious schemes in the region, whether those revealed publicly, such as Abu Dhabi’s role in fueling internal conflicts in Sudan, or those happening covertly, like the attempt to strike Qatar through its media arms abroad.<\/p>\n

A Shared Emirati-Israeli Position! The UAE and Israel prefer Egypt’s mediation over Qatar’s, and the reason was previously answered by the Hebrew newspaper “Maariv,” which affirmed that Cairo is more committed to mediating and negotiating (in favor of the occupation).<\/p>\n

Maariv apparently meant that the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s regime is more successful and committed to the interests of the occupation than any other party.<\/p>\n

These mediations were not limited to Arab affairs but also extended to the African continent and to conflicts and issues in Asia, culminating in the success of one of the most complex global crises between Iran and the United States.<\/p>\n

“Al-Arab London” went on to fabricate lies about Qatar, with the report’s author also claiming that Doha fears the possibility of being labeled by Israel, which has significant influence in the U.S., as supporting lobbies in Washington, threatening the small Gulf state’s economic and financial interests.<\/p>\n

It is noteworthy that the Abu Dhabi-funded newspaper secretly dedicates several reports to attack Qatar, attempting to demonize it by seizing any statements against it here and there, or by concocting fake lies and weaving reports with catchy titles based on allegations without providing any evidence.<\/p>\n

Qatar’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, had previously stated on several occasions that a political office for Hamas was established in Doha years ago. This was a means for Hamas to communicate with various parties, including the United States and even Israel.<\/p>\n

This office, in reality, has been used as a communication tool for the movement, according to Al Thani, who emphasized that Qatar contributed to this in coordination with the U.S. administration.<\/p>\n
