De Sutter, a representative of the Flemish Green Party in the ruling coalition, added that she will propose to her government to follow in the footsteps of South Africa in filing a lawsuit against the occupying state before the International Court of Justice in The Hague.<\/p>\n<p>De Sutter wrote in a post on her &#8220;X&#8221; platform account: &#8220;Belgium cannot stand idly by and watch the immense humanitarian suffering in Gaza, and we must act against the danger of genocide.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Belgium cannot stand by and watch the immense human suffering in Gaza.
