In tweets on his official (X) account, accompanied by images of a table documenting Turkish ship and cargo activity, the journalist expressed dismay at the situation: ‘We support Palestine in words only… and support Israel on the ground.<\/p>\n

Turkish Journalist: Ships Loaded with Goods and Food Sail from Turkey to Israel<\/h3>\n

Metin Cihan continued, stating that calls to halt trade with Israel are futile, as he personally verified that more than 250 ships loaded with goods and food have sailed from Turkey to the ports of Haifa and Ashdod in Israel since the start of the war on October 7, averaging 7 ships per day.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, November 14, the Turkish journalist wrote that he confirmed “another 8 ships sailed just yesterday, bringing the total number of ships that have sailed to Israel since the beginning of the war to 259.”<\/p>\n

The journalist also published a list of recent shipments that have not yet reached Israel, stating that they are “currently on their way or preparing to depart.”<\/p>\n

Returning on Wednesday, November 15, Metin Cihan added to this data, updating that “13 more ships were sent yesterday to the ports of Israel, comprising 12 full carriers and 1 empty one.”<\/p>\n

Expressing his dismay, he commented, “While we have been verbally supporting Palestine<\/a> since the massacre in Gaza, we have actually provided logistical services to Israel with 272 ships.<\/p>\n

A decrease in the volume of trade exchange between Turkey and Israel<\/h3>\n

These data, which we were unable to verify through an independent source, come despite the announcement of official Turkish data indicating a 50% decline in the trade volume with Israel since the start of the aggression on Gaza.<\/p>\n

Several Turkish economic experts have confirmed that Turkish exports to the occupying state are at their minimum, noting that the Turkish products seen in Israel are likely exported before the Gaza war, which has been ongoing for over a month.<\/p>\n

Israeli media reported a boycott of Turkish goods due to Turkey’s stance and President Erdogan’s assertion that “Hamas” is not a terrorist organization.<\/p>\n

Recently, the Hebrew newspaper “Haaretz” revealed that several major Israeli retail chains, including “Shufersal” and “Rami Levy,” announced a halt to importing Turkish products.<\/p>\n
