They are suspected of physical, psychological, and sexual abuse\u2014including rape\u2014against their comrades.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1246\" data-end=\"1693\">The alleged acts occurred over several weeks under the guise of \u201cmilitary seniority games\u201d or \u201crank-based pranks,\u201d where older soldiers exert power over new recruits under the pretense of jokes or unofficial initiation rituals. During the hearing, one of the suspects&#8217; fathers protested emotionally: &#8220;They are Israel\u2019s heroes. They shouldn\u2019t be going through this.
