Watan<\/strong><\/em>-Al-Araby Al-Jadeed has obtained a copy of a statement issued by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi at the conclusion of his talks on Friday with his counterparts from France, Britain, and Germany, as well as the EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas in Geneva.<\/p>\n

In his four-point statement, Araghchi expressed \u201cserious concern\u201d over the failure of the three European countries to “condemn the Zionist entity’s aggression” against Iran. He affirmed that Tehran would continue to exercise its \u201clegitimate right to self-defense against this entity in a serious and firm manner to stop the aggression and prevent its recurrence.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the second point, Araghchi reiterated that \u201cIran\u2019s nuclear program is peaceful and under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).\u201d He stated: \u201cBased on this, any attack on Iran\u2019s peaceful nuclear facilities constitutes a grave crime and a flagrant violation of international law.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Iranian foreign minister emphasized that his country is \u201cprepared to consider diplomacy if the aggression ceases and the aggressor is held accountable for its crimes.\u201d He added: \u201cIn this context, we made it clear that Iran\u2019s defensive capabilities are non-negotiable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Araghchi concluded by reaffirming Tehran\u2019s support for continued negotiations with the three European countries and the European Union, declaring: \u201cWe are ready for a new meeting in the near future.\u201d<\/p>\n

European Ministers Reaffirm Dialogue Path: No Military Solution<\/h3>\n

The foreign ministers of France, the UK, and Germany, along with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, announced on Friday their willingness to continue discussions with Iran in a bid to revive diplomatic efforts over its nuclear program. They stressed that \u201cthere is no ultimate solution through military means.\u201d<\/p>\n

This came after a three-hour meeting in Geneva described as \u201cserious\u201d by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, though no concrete progress was reported.<\/p>\n

French Foreign Minister Jean-No\u00ebl Barrot stated that \u201cEuropean countries believe there is no final solution through military means regarding Iran\u2019s nuclear issue.\u201d He called on Iran to engage in talks with the United States to reach a negotiated settlement and voiced concern over Iran\u2019s support for \u201cterrorist groups,\u201d its drone exports to Russia, and the issue of Western detainees in Iran. He added that Iran\u2019s chief negotiator, Abbas Araghchi, showed readiness to continue discussions on the nuclear file and other matters.<\/p>\n
