Watan<\/strong><\/em>-Israel is investigating whether Iran used a multi-warhead ballistic missile in the attack it launched early Thursday targeting the greater Tel Aviv area.<\/p>\n

According to Haaretz, the Israeli military suspects that Iran used a ballistic missile equipped with multiple warheads in the strike. Army Radio also reported that the Israeli defense establishment believes one of the missiles launched contained several sub-munitions, which exploded and scattered across different parts of Gush Dan (greater Tel Aviv), as confirmed by two security sources.<\/p>\n

The military is also probing whether a cluster bomb \u2014 or a fragmentation warhead \u2014 was used. Bomb disposal teams have been deployed to the impact sites, including in Or Yehuda, Jaffa, and Savyon. The Home Front Command and Israeli Air Force are conducting a detailed investigation.<\/p>\n

Israel\u2019s public broadcaster reported that the military believes part of Thursday morning\u2019s missile barrage included rockets fitted with submunitions, typical of cluster warheads known to be in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s arsenal. Field surveys confirmed the presence of smaller rocket fragments at impact sites, reinforcing this assessment.<\/p>\n

Yedioth Ahronoth added that security officials believe multiple missiles contained secondary explosives that detonated upon impact. This evaluation was based on on-site findings by Israeli forces.<\/p>\n

Iran\u2019s barrage Thursday morning reportedly injured 147 people, including 6 seriously, according to Yedioth Ahronoth. Channel 12 noted that the missiles hit Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, and Holon \u2014 all in the central region.<\/p>\n

An Israeli military spokesperson confirmed Thursday that Iran retains missile-launch capabilities, despite the heavy Israeli bombardment on its soil. \u201cDozens of missiles and drones were launched by Iran toward Israel this morning,\u201d said spokesman Efi Dvirin at a press conference, citing damage to the Soroka Medical Center area in Beersheba.<\/p>\n

He accused Iran of deliberately targeting a hospital to cause mass casualties. Iranian media denied this, stating the attack was aimed at Israeli military intelligence headquarters next to Soroka, not the hospital itself.<\/p>\n

Dvirin said the Israeli army continues to strike Iranian missile launch infrastructure and improve air defense accuracy against ongoing threats. He acknowledged that air defenses remain imperfect and urged citizens to follow Home Front Command instructions.<\/p>\n

He also claimed that hundreds of Iranian missile launchers have been damaged or rendered inoperable, although Iran continues to fire missiles \u2014 as it did Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are complex days,\u201d Dvirin added, \u201cand we are actively operating on all fronts. We will continue to target the heart of the Iranian regime and pursue all military objectives until they are achieved.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked about possible plans to assassinate Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Dvirin said the army is working in full coordination with the political leadership and declined to comment on specific plans.<\/p>\n

Thursday\u2019s Iranian attack marked the 14th wave of missile launches since Iran began retaliating for an Israeli offensive that started at dawn on June 13.<\/p>\n
