Watan<\/strong><\/em>-On Sunday, an international solidarity march for Gaza began as part of a global campaign to break the siege on the Palestinian enclave and demand an end to the genocide Israel has waged since October 7, 2023.<\/p>\n

Thousands of participants from 32 countries are taking part in the march, which aims to reach the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid and show support for the Palestinian people.<\/p>\n

The convoys are scheduled to gather in Cairo this Thursday, before heading to Al-Arish in northeastern Egypt, and then marching on foot to the Rafah crossing, where protest tents will be set up, according to organizers.<\/p>\n

Algerian-Led Convoy Joins Global March to Break Gaza Siege<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The main organizing body, “The Global March to Gaza”, stated that it has representatives across most European, North and South American, Arab, and Asian countries\u2014reflecting growing global support for the Palestinian cause.<\/div>\n

The Algerian \u201cCaravan of Steadfastness\u201d led the initiative, departing from Algiers to Tunisia on Sunday to join the Tunisian convoy, and then heading through Libya to Egypt and eventually Gaza.<\/div>\n

Yahya Sari, head of the Algerian Initiative for Supporting Palestine and Gaza Relief, said in a statement that the caravan is humanitarian in nature and “raises its voice alongside the free people of the world to demand the end of the unjust blockade on Gaza.\u201d<\/div>\n

From Morocco, Abdelhafid Sriti, coordinator of the National Working Group for Palestine, said a Moroccan delegation will fly to Egypt, then travel by land to Rafah to demand opening the crossings and ending the genocide.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSince October 7, Moroccans have been in the streets supporting the resistance and the Palestinian people, and we will continue,\u201d he added.<\/div>\n

He warned that Palestinians are facing extermination through U.S.-backed bombing, starvation, and disease due to the suffocating blockade\u2014calling it an \u201cunprecedented crime.\u201d<\/div>\n
