Watan<\/strong><\/em>-The head of the “Hadash-Ta’al” alliance, Israeli Knesset member Ayman Odeh, responded to parliamentary efforts to expel him over his statement “Gaza will win,” saying he proudly stands by his humanitarian positions calling for a comprehensive deal and immediate end to the war. He reaffirmed his belief that the Palestinian people’s victory over the occupation is a historical inevitability.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, 70 out of 120 Knesset members signed a petition demanding Odeh\u2019s removal from parliament. The petition was triggered by a post Odeh made three months ago on X (formerly Twitter), in which he expressed satisfaction over the release of Palestinian prisoners and Israeli hostages.<\/p>\n

During a recent \u201cPeace Partnership\u201d rally, Odeh declared:\u201cGaza will triumph over policies of war, killing, and mass destruction. The Palestinian people will defeat the occupation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The petition was spearheaded by Likud MK Avichai Boaron, who accused Odeh of “equating Hamas elite fighters with our hostages,” and added:\u201cThe Jewish people will prevail over Gaza.\u201d<\/p>\n

In response to the motion, Odeh<\/a> stated that his views represent the human conscience and enjoy widespread support among people across the globe. He criticized the petitioners for failing to condemn the killing of children in Gaza, and noted that some of them have publicly called for Gaza to be wiped out.<\/p>\n

In a statement from his office, Odeh concluded:\u201cI will stand firm, along with national forces and every democratic, conscientious individual, and we will confidently confront this vicious campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n

Haaretz Confirms IDF Killed Civilians at Gaza Aid Centers<\/h3>\n

In a related development, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported Thursday that the Israeli army opened fire on Palestinian civilians at aid distribution points in Gaza, killing and injuring dozens multiple times. The investigation, featured on the front page, is based on both Palestinian and Israeli testimonies, and aligns with a similar expos\u00e9 by CNN documenting Israeli military crimes against Gaza\u2019s population.<\/p>\n

While the Israeli military alternates between denial and claims of ongoing investigations, it has previously done the same in incidents like the paramedic massacre and the infamous \u201cflour massacre.\u201d<\/p>\n
