They\u2019re exhausted and have issues at home and work. So we summon others\u2014even those who aren\u2019t mentally or physically fit. We have no choice. The security of the state comes first.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"2899\" data-end=\"2953\">Psychologically Disabled Soldiers Sent to Gaza<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2955\" data-end=\"3099\">Haaretz received dozens of testimonies confirming that the IDF has recently enlisted individuals for combat roles in the reserves who are:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"3100\" data-end=\"3308\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"3100\" data-end=\"3188\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3102\" data-end=\"3188\">In the process of being recognized as psychologically injured by the Defense Ministry.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"3189\" data-end=\"3308\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3191\" data-end=\"3308\">Already officially recognized as disabled veterans with PTSD, including some with disabilities exceeding 50%.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3310\" data-end=\"3522\">None of those interviewed said they were seen by an army mental health specialist prior to deployment. Instead, most were recruited via social media ads posted by officers suffering severe manpower shortages.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3524\" data-end=\"3577\">One combat-assigned soldier with a disability said:\u201cNo one asked about my mental state, and I didn\u2019t want to mention it out of fear of being dismissed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3683\" data-end=\"3895\">In early May, the Israeli army began sending tens of thousands of new conscription orders to reservists, preparing to expand operations in Gaza, according to Yedioth Ahronoth and other Hebrew media outlets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"3902\" data-end=\"4137\">Meanwhile, Israel has maintained an 18-year blockade on Gaza.
