Watan<\/strong><\/em>-Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Sunday that Israel has successfully recovered the remains of a soldier killed during the 1982 Lebanon invasion through a \u201cspecial operation.\u201d<\/p>\n

A statement from the Prime Minister\u2019s Office read: \u201cIn a special operation by Mossad and the Israeli army, we have brought home the remains of Tsivka Feldman, who fell in the Battle of Sultan Yacoub in June 1982,\u201d referring to a town in Lebanon\u2019s eastern Beqaa region where Israeli forces clashed with Syrian troops during the invasion.<\/p>\n

Hebrew media reported that the remains of Feldman, who served in the armored corps, were retrieved from Syrian territory as part of the secret mission.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
