The administration may also attempt to appeal the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1675\" data-end=\"1877\">On April 18, Judge Sessions had ordered the transfer of Ozturk, stating that her case \u201craised significant constitutional concerns\u201d about her arrest and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.watanserb.com\/en\/2025\/05\/06\/turkish-phd-student-detained-in-harsh-conditions-in-u-s-over-pro-palestine-solidarity\/\">detention<\/a>, and warranted a \u201cfull and fair review.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1879\" data-end=\"2265\">The judge added that evidence supported Ozturk\u2019s claim that she was detained as punishment for writing an op-ed in the Tufts University student newspaper.
