More than 11,000 remain missing, amid catastrophic humanitarian conditions in the Strip, as the occupation insists on blocking the entry of any kind of aid.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Palestinian media reported that several people were killed and injured in an Israeli airstrike on the old Jabalia police station in northern Gaza. Israeli aircraft also bombed a house near Al-Noor Mosque on the western Rafah road in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, as well as a residential apartment in the Al-Amal neighborhood in the west of the city. Additional Israeli air raids targeted homes in the Qizan Al-Najjar area, also in southern Khan Younis.<\/p>\n

Despite mediation efforts to restore a ceasefire, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Wednesday to continue<\/a> the war, stressing that “Israel will not lose this war, will not retreat, and will not surrender,” pledging to “defeat Hamas.”<\/p>\n

The sources alleged that Hamas “continues to reject any proposal involving a temporary ceasefire,” complicating efforts to reach a truce agreement at this stage.<\/p>\n

The Israeli security and political cabinet is set to reconvene on Thursday to discuss the future of the war that Tel Aviv has been waging against Gaza for more than a year and a half. Israel’s public broadcaster reported on Wednesday that the “cabinet,” headed by Prime Minister Netanyahu, will meet again Thursday evening after a prior meeting on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n
