Watan<\/strong><\/em>-Amid official silence and blatant complicity, the Moroccan regime, led by King Mohammed VI, who calls himself the “Commander of the Faithful,” continues to betray the Palestinian people, surpassing the will of its own population, which daily expresses its firm rejection of normalization with the Israeli occupation. Despite the fact that the Al-Quds Committee, chaired by the king, was established during the reign of his father, King Hassan II, it has now become merely a political cover for rapid normalization that contradicts the stance of the Moroccan people.<\/p>\n

Since the normalization agreement was signed in 2020, brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Rabat has turned into an open gateway for the Zionists, a scene that many observers view as a blatant betrayal of the Palestinian cause.<\/p>\n

The streets of Morocco have not quieted down, with daily protests and marches condemning the massacres in Gaza and demanding the closure of the Israeli embassy in the Moroccan capital.<\/p>\n

What makes matters worse is the official justification for this rapprochement with the Israeli entity, namely the American support for Morocco’s sovereignty over Western Sahara. New U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed from Washington that his country politically and economically supports Rabat and recognizes its sovereignty over the region, which Moroccan authorities use as a pretext to continue normalization, defying the will of the people.<\/p>\n

It seems that the king has chosen political interests over principles, and diplomatic gains over the blood of Palestinians. However, history does not forgive, and peoples do not forget.
