However, this attempt ended in a complete failure, according to a report by the Hebrew newspaper Maariv.<\/p>\n

Facing a deepening internal crisis due to its inability to recover the captives since the start of the \u201cAl-Aqsa Flood\u201d battle, the occupation resorted to direct psychological and material pressure on Gaza’s residents. It put up massive propaganda billboards along the border strip and distributed leaflets inside homes and institutions that had been stormed by occupation forces, especially in the northern Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n

The offers included promises of fantastical sums\u2014up to $5 million\u2014for information that could reveal the fate of the Israeli soldiers.
