Watan<\/strong><\/em>-While the Israeli occupation army continues to commit massacres against civilians as part of the genocidal war it is waging on the Gaza Strip, a new plan appears to be taking shape. Named the \u201cGrand Operation,\u201d it is a modified version of the \u201cGenerals\u2019 Plan,\u201d which means it could be even more suffocating, starving, and lethal\u2014aiming to \u201cresolve\u201d the war by forcibly displacing Gaza\u2019s population and targeting those who refuse to evacuate certain areas, even if it means killing the Israeli captives held in Gaza.<\/p>\n

The possibility of the captives being killed does not seem far-fetched in light of the intensified bombing and expanded ground invasion. This scenario had already been warned about by the families of the captives and other Israeli circles since Israel broke the ceasefire and resumed the war. Notably, Israeli bombing has already led to the deaths of several captives since the beginning of the war. Meanwhile, recent protests demanding their return have not reached a level that would pressure Benjamin Netanyahu or his government.<\/p>\n

As the massacres intensify through aerial bombardment, and with three military divisions of the Israeli army now engaged in an expanding ground operation, the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Friday\u2014citing unnamed sources\u2014that the goal is to pressure Hamas into making concessions, accepting a partial deal or a complete surrender agreement. Such an agreement would include the exile of Hamas leaders, relinquishment of governance in Gaza, and complete disarmament.<\/p>\n

“The Grand Operation: Gaza\u2019s Forced Emptying Plan”<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The concept of the \u201cGrand Operation\u201d looms on the horizon\u2014one aimed at achieving decisive and absolute victory. According to the newspaper, it is, in some ways, a revised version of the \u201cGenerals\u2019 Plan,\u201d adapted to current circumstances.<\/p>\n

The vision includes so-called “voluntary migration” from the Gaza Strip. At its core, the plan entails a large-scale, coordinated assault on Gaza, evacuating the population from the north, south, and center\u2014effectively all areas\u2014and pushing them into a narrow \u201chumanitarian zone\u201d in the Al-Mawasi area. The plan calls for a full-scale evacuation (i.e., displacement), leaving no residents in Gaza City, the north, or Khan Younis.<\/p>\n

In response to the newspaper\u2019s question, \u201cWhat happens next?\u201d one of the officials involved in formulating operational plans said:\u201cAt that point, Hamas is supposed to be defeated\u2014or will remain confined to a small enclave.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cThere will be an opportunity for migration. In the humanitarian enclave, they [the people of Gaza] will be offered the option to leave. I don\u2019t know where to, how, or whether it\u2019s even legal in the middle of war.\u201d
The source also stated that some see this moment as a \u201cvictory\u201d that can be used as leverage to achieve other goals, including the exile of Hamas leaders and disarmament.<\/p>\n

The Hebrew newspaper noted that the source had no answer for how such a wide-scale operation could proceed, especially since it could result in the deaths of the captives. It also questioned whether Israeli society has already given up on them.<\/p>\n

The newspaper referenced an announcement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this week\u2014made without informing the military leadership\u2014about plans to seize control of the Morag Axis. This comes amid growing displacement from Gaza\u2019s peripheries, in Rafah and the north.<\/p>\n

On another front, Tel Aviv claims there has been “some progress” in negotiations, despite Hamas rejecting Israel\u2019s latest offer. While reports indicate that Hamas is prepared to consider releasing up to five captives, the occupation state insists on no fewer than ten at this stage.<\/p>\n

However, the issue isn\u2019t just about numbers, according to Yedioth Ahronoth, but also about the framework. Hamas demands a return to the previously signed agreement, but from the Israeli government\u2019s perspective, that is no longer on the table.<\/p>\n

The newspaper quoted an Israeli security source as saying:\u201cEveryone knew we weren\u2019t going to implement the second phase. The only way to do it is if Hamas surrenders.
