Watan<\/strong><\/em>-In a controversial move that reveals the depth of regional complicity with the Israeli occupation, American and Palestinian sources have disclosed a Jordanian proposal calling for the disarmament of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza and the deportation of over 3,000 leaders and members of Hamas from the Strip. The deal has been described as an attempt to “end the war” in exchange for dismantling the resistance.<\/p>\n

The proposal, reported by the British newspaper Middle East Eye, comes amid growing international and Arab pressure to halt the Israeli aggression on Gaza. It includes handing over Gaza to the Palestinian Authority led by Mahmoud Abbas as a transitional phase \u2014 a move widely seen as a continuation of the long-standing Israeli plan for a \u201cdemilitarized Gaza.\u201d<\/p>\n

What\u2019s striking is that this plan closely mirrors a previous suggestion made by Israeli security official Gal Hirsch, who earlier proposed deporting Hamas leaders in exchange for the release of Israeli captives in one batch. The re-emergence of this plan via Arab channels underscores the extent of coordination between some regional actors and the occupation.<\/p>\n

Deal Offers Surrender, Not Justice<\/h3>\n

Although the proposal is being marketed as a political solution, it is effectively a blueprint for dismantling the resistance and reviving the concept of a subdued, submissive Gaza. It makes no mention of a permanent ceasefire or of holding Israel accountable for the massacres it has committed. Instead, it offers total surrender in exchange for a temporary truce.<\/p>\n
