Watan<\/strong><\/em>-Pro-Palestine activists in London painted the headquarters of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) red and smashed its windows in protest against what they described as its biased coverage favoring Israel in the Gaza war.<\/p>\n

On Monday, members of the group “Palestine Action” gathered outside the BBC’s London offices, accusing the broadcaster of covering up Israeli war crimes in Gaza. Activists threw red paint on the BBC building\u2019s facade, symbolizing the blood of Palestinian victims, and shattered several windows.<\/p>\n

BBC Accused of Misleading the Public<\/h3>\n

In a statement, the group accused the BBC<\/a> of distorting events in Gaza and downplaying the scale of Israel’s war crimes against Palestinians.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Palestine Action stated that “BBC\u2019s biased coverage is not just journalistic malpractice but a matter that affects human lives.” He went on to claim that the BBC\u2019s portrayal of Israel as innocent “makes it complicit in the ongoing genocide in Gaza.”<\/p>\n

This marks the second time that Palestine Action activists have targeted the BBC headquarters. Their first protest took place in October 2023, shortly after the start of Israel\u2019s war on Gaza.<\/p>\n

London Police Investigate Property Damage<\/h3>\n

The London Metropolitan Police confirmed that they received a report of property damage at the BBC building, where red paint was thrown on the exterior and several windows were broken.<\/p>\n

The police added that an investigation into the incident is ongoing. The BBC has not issued an immediate response.<\/p>\n
