The Israeli newspaper Haaretz argued that resuming the war in Gaza contradicts U.S. interests in the Middle East, including Trump’s ambitions for peace in the region. The report stated that Netanyahu finds himself in an ideal position as Trump escalates his threats, knowing they hinder the return of hostages (prisoners).<\/p>\n

In The Guardian, a report suggested that Hamas faces difficult choices, as its actions are directly linked to the likelihood of renewed fighting. However, the newspaper pointed out that if Hamas releases more prisoners on Saturday, it could undermine the threats posed by Netanyahu and Trump, effectively countering their strategy.<\/p>\n

According to the report, such a move by Hamas “would leave no justification for canceling the second phase of the agreement, keeping the ceasefire in place.”<\/p>\n
