They caution that current and future peace agreements are at risk and that destabilizing Jordan could create a continuous jihadist front stretching from the Jordan River to Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

In an editorial titled “Peace Agreements in Danger,” Haaretz warns against Trump\u2019s statements and ideas, arguing that the forced displacement of Gaza\u2019s population is an empty but explosive notion capable of undermining peace agreements with Egypt and Jordan. The newspaper suggests that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi\u2019s postponement of his White House visit is a clear message that, despite Trump\u2019s threats, Cairo remains firm in rejecting any cooperation with plans to expel Palestinians from Gaza.<\/p>\n

Haaretz further criticizes Trump\u2019s behavior, stating: “Trump believes that everything can be bought with money. However, at the upcoming Arab summit on the 27th of this month, Arab states will provide an economic safety net for Egypt and Jordan.”<\/p>\n

Shushan argues that Trump\u2019s bullying behavior toward the Jordanian king<\/a>\u2014inside the White House and in front of his son, Prince Hussein, during a live broadcast\u2014could mark the beginning of the end for the Hashemite Kingdom, potentially sparking a coup in Jordan. He suggests that Syria\u2019s past turmoil could serve as a model for Jordan\u2019s future unrest.<\/p>\n

Shushan also highlights the danger of undermining a head of state like King Abdullah, stating that such an act invites internal contempt for his leadership.
