Over nearly 20 months of genocide in Gaza, Israel has bombed dozens of shelters, including schools, universities, hospitals, and areas the Israeli army had previously labeled as “safe zones.” According to official Palestinian data, these attacks have resulted in the deaths and injuries of thousands—mostly children and women.

On May 6, the Government Media Office in Gaza announced that the number of displacement centers targeted by Israeli forces had reached 234 since the genocide began.

Separately, five more Palestinians, including a child, were killed Sunday evening in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City and Khan Younis.

The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that four people were killed and others injured after Israeli warplanes bombed a residential building on Al-Thawra Street, west of Gaza City.
