Israeli Airstrikes Kill 17 Palestinians, Including Women and Children, Across Gaza

Heavy bombing targets homes and displacement camps; multiple fatalities reported in Khan Younis and Jabalia

Watan-Since dawn on Friday, the Israeli army has killed 17 Palestinians — including women and children — in scattered airstrikes across various areas of the Gaza Strip.

According to medical sources and eyewitnesses, the Israeli bombardment targeted a Palestinian home, tents sheltering displaced civilians, and gatherings of residents.

In the latest strike, five Palestinians — including a child — were killed in an attack on a civilian gathering in Jabalia al-Nazla, in northern Gaza.

The air raids were heavily concentrated during the early morning hours on the city of Khan Younis in the southern part of the strip.

In the Khan Younis camp, five Palestinians were killed and around ten others injured after an airstrike demolished a house with its residents inside. Reports suggest there may be people still missing under the rubble.

In another incident, a woman and her child were killed, and nine others wounded to varying degrees, after a drone strike hit a tent for displaced people near “Asdaa Prison” west of Khan Younis.

Israeli forces also bombed tents for the displaced in the “al-Mawasi” area, west of the city, killing five Palestinians and injuring 15 others.

On the ground, the Israeli military continues demolishing homes in eastern Khan Younis and shelling both southern and northern areas of the city — part of an ongoing escalation since the beginning of what many Palestinians now refer to as genocide.
