U.S.-Backed Gaza Aid Center Turns Deadly as Israeli Forces Kill 10 During Distribution
Amid rising hunger, hundreds of Palestinians gathered for food aid at a new distribution point in central Gaza. The scene turned violent, raising questions about the neutrality of the U.S.-linked relief effort.
Watan-The U.S.-based Gaza Relief Foundation opened a third aid and food distribution point on Thursday in the Al-Shuhada (Netzarim) corridor in central Gaza. This follows two previous distribution points established in the Tel al-Sultan area west of Rafah, known as the Muraj corridor.
Hundreds of Palestinians gathered near the entrance of Juhr al-Dik to receive food parcels from the American organization. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army paved a road near the Juhr al-Dik entrance that connects to Salah al-Din Street.
Over the past two days, operations by the Gaza Relief Foundation were disrupted when large crowds of desperate Palestinians dismantled a distribution point west of Rafah and left, amid the failure of both the occupation and the American institution to maintain order.

Israeli Forces Kill 10 at Gaza Aid Site Amid Chaos
Israeli forces intervened militarily, leading to the killing of 10 Palestinians and the injury of 62 others, according to the Government Media Office in Gaza.
In a statement, the office said:“A heinous crime occurred during peaceful gatherings of civilians driven by deadly hunger and extreme need. What should have been a humanitarian aid site turned into a death trap under Israeli gunfire—part of a suspicious engineering project managed by the so-called Gaza Relief Foundation, which operates under the direct supervision and control of the occupation. The operation lacks the core humanitarian principles of neutrality, integrity, and independence.”
International and UN organizations have cast doubt on the viability of this new aid mechanism, citing severe security risks, lack of a transparent delivery system, and the exclusion of Gaza’s northern regions from receiving aid.
