Since January 21, 2025, the Israeli army has launched a military campaign in the northern West Bank, beginning with Jenin and surrounding areas before expanding to Tulkarm on January 27.
According to the official Palestinian news agency, the ongoing Israeli assault on Tulkarm and its two camps (Tulkarm and Nur Shams) has resulted in 13 Palestinian deaths, dozens injured and arrested, and the displacement of more than 4,200 families.
Additionally, the aggression has completely destroyed 400 homes, partially damaged 2,573 others, and caused widespread destruction to infrastructure and commercial properties.
Alongside its genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military and settlers have intensified attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, leading to the killing of at least 969 Palestinians, injuring around 7,000, and arresting over 17,000, according to Palestinian data.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel—backed unconditionally by the U.S.—has waged a genocidal war on Gaza, resulting in over 175,000 Palestinian casualties (dead and wounded), most of them women and children, in addition to more than 11,000 missing and hundreds of thousands forcibly displaced.
