Watan-In a dangerous and unprecedented development, Israel is facing a severe internal crisis due to a large wave of emigration affecting vital segments of society, including workers in the advanced technology sector, millionaires, and young people between the ages of 20 and 40.
According to cross-reports, more than 80,000 Israelis have left the country since the outbreak of the war in October 2023 until mid-2024, reflecting deep anxiety and a moral collapse within the Jewish state.
What is even more concerning is the departure of around 8,300 high-tech specialists, with an average of 826 employees leaving per month compared to only 571 before the war. This indicates a real loss in one of Israel’s most important economic sectors. Although these workers represent less than 8% of the workforce, they contribute more than 35% of the total income tax revenue for the state, according to 2021 data.

Mass Emigration and Growing Poverty: Israel’s Deepening Crisis in 2024
Other reports indicate that in 2024 alone, 1,700 millionaires have emigrated from Israel, in the context of a tense political scene, unstable security situation, and growing frustration about the country’s future and its projects.
The crisis is not limited to brains and wealth, but coincides with the widening poverty gap, as over 2.7 million people are now living below the poverty line, equivalent to about 30% of the population.
Observers believe that this mass emigration is not just a reaction to the war, but also a direct result of the political deadlock and the growing fear of an uncertain future, especially among the youth, who are considered the backbone of any economic or technological revival.
