Palestinian Youth Rejects Foreign Aid: A Stand Against Complicity in Gaza’s Plight
Watan-A video circulated showing a Palestinian youth in the Gaza Strip stating that he refused the Jordanian aid dropped on the area from the air.
In the video, the Palestinian youth showcased some American aid dropped on the area, stating that he did not accept it.
He said, “Moments ago, we received American aid dropped to us from the air… Things that have nothing to do with food, and they have a very foul smell.”
He continued, “I did not accept the aid dropped from the air by Jordan. Will I accept it from a country that is complicit in starving us and complicit in this genocide?” referring to the United States.
He pointed out that he would accept such aid from Arab countries, Brazil, or South Africa, which are supportive of Palestine and Gaza, when it arrives through the Rafah crossing or another border crossing, not from the air.
Afterward, the young man took the American aid and placed it in a black bag, then threw it into a garbage bin.

Many countries, particularly Arab ones, have conducted airdrops of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, intensifying after the massacre of Douar Nabulsi in Rashid Street, where Israeli forces opened fire on hundreds of Palestinians who were hoping to receive humanitarian aid.
Ineffective Aid
However, relief workers have confirmed that the airdrop operations of aid are ineffective in reaching the population, and the shipments currently transported are insufficient to meet the needs of over two million people besieged in Gaza.
The quantity of humanitarian aid reaching by trucks has significantly decreased while the besieged population faces a severe shortage of food, water, and medicine.
After nearly five months of war, Gaza residents are resorting to consuming grains usually used to feed livestock or plants they would normally feed on.
Officials from the United Nations have warned that famine is “almost inevitable” in Gaza if sufficient quantities of aid are not urgently brought in.
Airdrops: A Futile Display and Propaganda
Earlier, the Gaza Government Media Office confirmed that the airdrop of aid and the blindness to bringing it in through land crossings are part of avoiding fundamental solutions to the problem by adopting futile display and propaganda methods.
They affirmed that the airdrop of aid is a “tool for the reality, the field, and the truth, in line with the occupation’s policy of promoting starvation, buying time for the occupation, and extending famine to inflict as much harm as possible on people and citizens.”
