Watan-Israeli opposition leader and head of the “Democrats” party, Yair Golan, described Wednesday evening’s events in the Palestinian village of Kafr Malik, located in the central occupied West Bank, as a “violent Jewish massacre.”
Earlier that day, the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that three Palestinians were killed and seven others injured due to a settler assault on Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah.
In a post on his account on X (formerly Twitter), Golan wrote:“What happened this evening in Kafr Malik is a violent Jewish massacre. Dozens of attackers burned homes and cars, assaulted Palestinians and security forces alike.”
He emphasized that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government will neither condemn nor prevent such settler crimes, adding:“On the contrary, it continues to support and encourage the violent gangs operating in Palestinian areas. It’s only a matter of time before these gangs act inside Israel proper.”
Settlers Torch Homes as Israeli Army Kills 3 Palestinians in Kafr Malik
On Wednesday evening, Israel’s state broadcaster quoted an unnamed security source saying:“Settlers arrived in Kafr Malik near Ramallah, set buildings and vehicles on fire, clashed with residents, sprayed graffiti on walls, and injured ten Palestinians by throwing stones.”
The source added that an Israeli military unit arrived at the scene and opened fire, killing three Palestinians and wounding others.
