77 Palestinians Killed in New Israeli Attacks Across Gaza Strip

Victims include children and a doctor as Israel escalates deadly assaults targeting schools, homes, and displacement camps across Gaza.

Watan-Since dawn on Sunday, 77 Palestinians—including children and a doctor—have been killed in Israeli attacks involving airstrikes and gunfire across various parts of the Gaza Strip.

These killings are part of the ongoing genocide carried out by the Israeli occupation army, now entering its 21st month, according to medical sources and eyewitnesses.

The sources reported that Israeli targeting since early Sunday included a school and tents sheltering displaced families, as well as homes throughout the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, 54 Palestinians had been killed in separate Israeli attacks across the enclave.

Northern Gaza

In Al-Shati (Beach) refugee camp, west of Gaza City, seven Palestinians—mostly children—were killed when Israeli airstrikes hit Abu Asi School, which shelters hundreds of displaced civilians.

Medical teams said the victims’ bodies arrived at Al-Shifa Hospital in pieces, with dozens more wounded, many severely, due to the overcrowded conditions at the school.

In the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, at least two Palestinians were killed and others injured in a strike on an inhabited home. Rescue teams faced difficulty recovering those trapped under rubble due to the deteriorating security conditions.

At least 25 Palestinians were killed in two separate airstrikes targeting homes of displaced families in the Sheikh Radwan and Al-Nasr neighborhoods. Most of the victims were women and children who were asleep at the time.

Also in Sheikh Radwan, a drone strike hit a tent housing displaced families, killing three civilians and wounding others, who were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital.

Another drone strike targeted a civilian car on Ahmad Yassin Street in northern Gaza, killing three brothers.

In Al-Daraj neighborhood, three Palestinians were killed and several injured in a strike on the Al-Safadi family home.

Central Gaza

In Al-Nuseirat refugee camp, eight members of one family were killed when an Israeli drone struck their tent west of the camp.

In another attack, three Palestinians—including two children—were killed when their home was destroyed in southern Al-Nuseirat. Civil defense teams continue searching for people trapped under the rubble.

Off the coast of Deir al-Balah, a Palestinian fisherman was injured by an Israeli shell while working at sea. He was taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

Southern Gaza

In Khan Younis, southern Gaza, two airstrikes on tents sheltering displaced families in the Al-Mawasi area killed ten Palestinians, including children and a pregnant woman. Several others were injured.

In a third drone strike near the Albanian Mosque in Khan Younis, four Palestinians were killed—including three children—and others wounded. The victims were taken to Nasser Hospital.

Israel continued heavy bombardment of eastern Gaza and northern areas into Sunday morning, accompanied by ground operations. Eyewitnesses reported hearing loud, successive explosions.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with U.S. support, has carried out a genocidal war in Gaza involving mass killings, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement—ignoring international pleas and International Court of Justice orders to stop.

This war has left over 193,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, the majority being women and children, with more than 10,000 still missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.
