Khamenei Declares Iran’s “Victory” Over Israel, Warns U.S. of Future Retaliation

After 12-day war and ceasefire, Iran’s Supreme Leader hails triumph over Israel and vows a harsh response to any renewed aggression

Watan-Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei praised what he called Iran’s “victory” in its recent war with Israel, in a speech delivered Thursday—two days after a ceasefire was announced following a 12-day confrontation. His reappearance ends a week-long absence from the public eye that had sparked speculation.

In remarks broadcast by Iranian state television, Khamenei stated:“I congratulate the great Iranian people on this victory over the fake Zionist entity… Despite all the noise and propaganda, Israel was crushed under our blows and nearly collapsed entirely.”

He issued a stark warning:“Any future aggression against Iran will come at a heavy cost.”

Addressing the U.S. role in the war, Khamenei said:“The United States achieved nothing by joining the war alongside Israel against the Islamic Republic.”

He added that President Donald Trump merely needed a “show of force”, implying that Washington’s involvement was more political theater than strategic success.

Khamenei went further, warning:“Iran’s reach to major U.S. bases may happen again if aggression against us resumes.”

He also dismissed Western justifications for hostility, such as Iran’s missile program or nuclear activities, asserting:“Our enemies use excuses like missiles or the nuclear file, but in truth they want our surrender.”

Referring to recent U.S. rhetoric, he concluded:“Trump revealed the truth—America will only accept Iran’s complete surrender. But surrender will never happen. Our nation is strong.”
