Israel Raises Alert Level Amid Rising Tensions with Iran: Preparing for Potential Retaliation
Watan-The Israeli Broadcasting Authority revealed on Wednesday that the alert level in Israel has been raised with a focus on the air force.
This comes at a time when speculations have escalated regarding Iran’s potential retaliatory strike in response to the bombing of its consulate in Damascus.
The Israeli military spokesperson stated that following security and military evaluation sessions, reservist forces of the air defense system have been called up.
Israeli Channel 12 reported that the decision includes reinforcing the air defense system throughout Israel.
Electronic Interference
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority stated that the security system has activated electronic interference on the GPS system across Israel.
It added that the interference is part of preparations for an Iranian response and the launching of drones and missiles directed towards Israel.

This comes against the backdrop of fears of an Iranian retaliation for the killing of senior Iranian military officials in the bombing that targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus, with Iran and Syria accusing Israel of carrying it out.
Khamenei Threatens
Israel with a Blow Meanwhile, the Israeli “Wallah” website reported that the internal front of the Israeli occupation army will soon launch what it called a campaign to prepare and ready citizens for a major escalation on the northern front with Lebanon and Syria.
The Israeli attack resulted in the killing of two commanders and five Iranian military advisors in the Iranian consulate building in the Mezzeh neighborhood of Damascus.
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, vowed revenge. In a speech attended by senior officials in Tehran, Khamenei stated that Israel “will receive a blow.”
He added that “the defeats of the Zionist entity in Gaza will continue, and the occupying entity is heading towards demise and collapse.”
Iran’s IRNA agency reported Khamenei as saying, “The desperate attempts of the Zionist entity, including its recent move in Syria, will not save it from these defeats.”
He continued, “There is no doubt that these criminals will receive the blow for that action.”
