Tehran intensifies crackdown, claiming hundreds were linked to Israeli intelligence and sabotage operations amid recent war.

Watan-An Iranian news agency reported that authorities have arrested 700 individuals on charges of being linked to Israel during the 12-day war.

The judiciary-affiliated Mizan News Agency stated on Wednesday that three people were executed after being convicted of spying for the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad and smuggling equipment used in assassinations.

Mizan added that the smuggled equipment was used in the assassination of an unidentified individual, though no further details were provided.

Iran has executed several individuals in the past who were convicted of spying for Mossad and facilitating its operations inside the country.

The charges against them have ranged from the assassination of nuclear scientists to involvement in sabotage operations aimed at undermining Iran’s nuclear program.
