Trump Claims Iran-Israel Peace ‘Coming Soon,’ Urges Immediate Agreement

Despite escalating war rhetoric from Netanyahu, Trump says multiple meetings are underway and a peace deal is within reach, though details remain vague.

Watan-U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday that Iran and Israel will enjoy peace “soon”, adding that many meetings are underway and that the two countries should reach an agreement.

In a post on his platform Truth Social, Trump wrote:“Iran and Israel must reach a deal. We will reach a deal… Peace is coming soon.”

However, Trump offered no details about these meetings or any evidence of progress toward peace. His statement directly contradicted comments by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who said on Saturday that Israel’s military campaign against Iran will intensify.

A White House spokesperson has not yet responded to inquiries about how Trump or the administration are working to de-escalate the situation in the Middle East.

Trump, who portrays himself as a global peacemaker, has faced criticism from his political base for failing to prevent the war between Israel and Iran. He referenced other unresolved global conflicts, including India-Pakistan, and expressed frustration that he hasn’t received more credit for his diplomatic efforts.

He concluded his post with:“I do a lot and get no recognition—but that’s okay, the people understand. Make the Middle East great again!”
