Israeli Forces Kill 8 Palestinians in Rafah as Army Orders Evacuation of Northern Gaza Neighborhoods

Drone attacks, live fire on aid seekers, and sweeping evacuation orders mark a deadly escalation in Gaza as Israel intensifies its assault.

Watan-Eight Palestinian civilians were killed by Israeli forces in Rafah, southern Gaza, on Monday, as the Israeli army issued urgent evacuation orders for 10 large neighborhoods in northern Gaza in preparation for what it described as “intense” bombardment.

According to the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA), the victims were among starving civilians waiting for food aid west of Rafah when Israeli forces opened fire.

Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat reported receiving 31 injured people following Israeli drone attacks and live fire on crowds near an aid distribution point by the Netzarim checkpoint in central Gaza.

The Palestinian Press Agency reported that three more civilians were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a group in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

Israel Expands Evacuation Orders as Jabalia Faces Intense Bombardment

The same source noted intensified aerial bombardment and artillery shelling on the town of Jabalia, with Israeli drones heavily active in the area.
In a statement, Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee warned that everyone in Jabalia, Jabalia Camp, the old city, and the neighborhoods of Al-Nahda, Al-Rawda, Al-Salam, Al-Noor, Al-Tuffah, Al-Daraj, and Tel Al-Zaatar must evacuate immediately.
Gaza Authorities Condemn U.S.-Linked Aid Operation as “Death Trap”
The U.S.-based Gaza Relief Foundation opened a third aid and food distribution point on Thursday in the Al-Shuhada (Netzarim) corridor in central Gaza.
“These are dangerous combat zones,” he said in a post on X, adding that the Israeli army is operating “with great force” in those areas. He urged residents to flee to “known shelters” in Gaza City, despite the majority of casualties consistently being civilians.
Since the resumption of the war on March 18, the Israeli army has issued near-daily evacuation warnings across large parts of Gaza.
A recent report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated that “people are increasingly trapped in shrinking areas, with 82% of the Gaza Strip now either designated as military zones or placed under evacuation orders.”
