Palestinian Groups Expose Israeli Fabrication of Rafah Aid Massacre and Warn of U.S. Security Contractor’s Role

Rights groups accuse Israel of staging fake videos to deny responsibility for killing 31 civilians in Rafah, as a U.S. firm supervising aid is linked to covert surveillance and military intelligence operations in Gaza.

Watan-Palestinian and human rights organizations have categorically rejected the Israeli military’s narrative regarding the recent massacre near a humanitarian aid center in western Rafah, which left over 30 Palestinians dead and more than 200 wounded. The denial comes as new evidence and eyewitness testimonies contradict Israel’s claims, and a Swiss-based legal coalition warns of dangerous intelligence goals behind the U.S. company overseeing aid operations in Gaza.

According to the Palestinian Government Media Office, Israel released a “fabricated and misleading video” to cover up its direct responsibility for the brutal killing of 31 civilians and injuring of over 200 more at a U.S.-Israeli aid distribution site in Rafah. The video, reportedly filmed by a surveillance drone, attempted to shift blame by alleging that armed individuals opened fire on the crowd seeking food and supplies.

However, the media office emphasized that the footage was released more than 15 hours after the massacre and was heavily edited to falsely frame the situation. They also pointed out that the video was taken in eastern Khan Younis, not western Rafah where the massacre occurred, exposing a clear attempt to manipulate public perception.

The office further explained that the chaos captured in the footage was orchestrated by gangs known to be linked to Israeli intelligence. These groups, under the watchful eye of Israeli drones, looted the aid supplies and fired shots into the air to incite panic. Notably, the video showed sacks of flour being distributed—something not included in the U.S.-Israeli aid package—proving the scene was staged.

Ramzy Abdu, head of the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, stated that the Israeli army released five conflicting versions of the event. “At first, they claimed nothing happened. Then they admitted to an incident, but not near the aid site. Later, they said soldiers fired into the air, but no one was harmed—despite hospitals reporting dozens of dead bodies. Finally, they released a video implying Hamas militants were responsible, filmed at an entirely different location,” Abdu explained. “This is a nation built on lies. It lies as naturally as it breathes.”

Security Threat from U.S. Contractor

In parallel, Majed Abu Salama, head of the Swiss-based coalition “Lawyers for Palestine” (ASAP), issued a warning about the U.S. company managing aid distribution in Gaza. In a Facebook post, he revealed that the firm, which operates with no staff in Gaza or Israel, works through a security entity called Secure Access Solutions. This entity is currently hiring large numbers of U.S. military veterans, security experts, and visual intelligence officers—offering salaries of $1,000 per day for contracts lasting 3–6 months.

Abu Salama emphasized that this operation is more than just aid logistics. Hunger-stricken Gazans arriving at distribution sites are met with quadcopters, drones, and surveillance rooms set up to observe and record community behavior. The goal, he said, is to compile digital and biometric data on thousands of Gazans to help identify members of Hamas or other militant groups.

At least 42 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes across several areas of the Gaza Strip since early Sunday morning, according to medical sources.

Many of the firm’s contractors reportedly have experience in frontline intelligence gathering, covert operations, and data analysis—underscoring the militarized nature of their presence. Their stated mission includes ensuring that no Palestinian fighter can access aid distribution zones.

Abu Salama also revealed that the company is not only registered in Switzerland but also has two other active registrations in the United States. He confirmed that ASAP and a partner organization have filed two legal complaints with Swiss authorities to investigate the firm’s operations. Efforts are underway at the highest institutional levels to uncover more about this company, protect international humanitarian agencies, and reject the use of humanitarian aid as a cover for Zionist agendas aimed at displacing and humiliating Palestinians.
