French Man Kills Tunisian Neighbor in Racist Shooting, Posts Hate Videos Online
A 53-year-old suspect in southern France shot and killed a Tunisian man, injured a Turkish neighbor, and uploaded racist videos before and after the attack.
Watan-France’s Ministry of Justice announced Sunday that a French man shot and killed his Tunisian neighbor and injured another person—a Turkish national—on Saturday evening in the southeastern town of Puget-sur-Argens. The suspect also published two racist videos linked to the attack.
According to officials, the 53-year-old man fled the scene by car but was apprehended shortly afterward by gendarmerie officers. His arrest followed a report from his partner, who alerted authorities.
Upon searching the suspect’s vehicle, authorities discovered several weapons, including a semi-automatic pistol, a hunting rifle, and a revolver, according to Pierre Cottinet, the public prosecutor in Draguignan.

A separate source confirmed the Tunisian victim had been hit by five bullets.
In a statement, the prosecutor revealed that the suspect, a sports shooting enthusiast, had posted two videos containing racist and hateful content on a social media account—one before the attack and one afterward.
Authorities are treating the case as a potentially racially motivated hate crime and continue to investigate the shooter’s digital footprint and possible extremist affiliations.
