Al-Qassam Brigades Announce Killing of Israeli Soldiers in Shuja’iyya Ambush
Hamas’s military wing reports targeted strike and gunfight east of Gaza City, claims Merkava tank also hit
Watan-The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced on Monday that a number of Israeli soldiers were killed in a military operation targeting an Israeli force east of Shuja’iyya, in the northern Gaza Strip.
In a statement published on Telegram, Al-Qassam said its fighters struck a military unit barricaded inside a house using an anti-personnel projectile, resulting in the death of several soldiers and the scattering of their body parts.
The statement added that the fighters later engaged the remaining Israeli forces in direct combat using light weapons.

Al-Qassam further reported that its fighters targeted an Israeli Merkava tank in the same area with a “Yassin 105” anti-tank missile.
The group noted that the operation took place on May 22, without providing a reason for the delayed announcement.
